The Moving Blog

After an almost-but-not-quite-a-Store-Tour filmed in an empty room, and some time-lapses captured during the move itself, this is the big one. With our archives and local studies material now safely in place, we're excited to be able to share a full walk-round of our two brand new strongrooms, which we've chosen to nickname "Oatcake" and "Pikelet" (they're both quite similar, but one is smaller than the other!). Plus, to sign off our Store Tours series* in style we're planning some in-person store tours for our reading room customers - ask about them when you make an appointment to find out when the next available tour date will be and, if you're interested, put your name down to secure a place!

* Fear not: a separate tour of our new Reading Room is still very much on the cards, we just have to find time to film when it's not open 😅
